Conflicts and wars persist on
Earth.
There might be times when you need or desire conflict
for some reasons. If the conflict is needed, I truly hope that the alternative
will be found. And what one desires is a matter of
personal freedom, I believe. But excessive
actions might end up harming others. If you're seeking conflict, I hope you find
happiness in other pursuits.
Because ‘others’ could be
considered as ‘your friends, brothers and sisters, and family members’.
Of course, disagreements can
arise even among friends and siblings. There may be times when it's necessary to
maintain some distance due to differing interests or opinions. Personally, I
might say my power of love or friendship is weak. Some people might not care
about others at all.
However, shouldn't we, as human beings, friends,
brothers, and family, coexist with joy as fellow life forms in this infinite
universe?
Additionally, those endowed with wisdom and power
should exercise restraint in using their influence to attack others, ensuring
that the happiness of those impacted is not irretrievably lost.
With
such moderation, individuals can find happiness, and this, in turn, can lead to
the realization of a joyous coexistence.
There is a saying that "all
humankind are brothers" (*1). According to Buddha, the word "compassion"
consists of "friendship" and "heartfelt sympathy" (*2). Jesus said, "As I have
loved you, so you must love one another; this is my command" (*3).
Everyone, let's live in
harmony!
