Prosperity after oil (June 18, 2004)

Not urgently, but I think it is clearly important for Iraq for its prosperity in the future to transform its industrial structure into the one which is not so much dependent on exporting oil.

For the change, I think that it is very important jus to do the reconstruction, not an armed conflict. I hope we can exert our ability constructively to love our enemies, to forgive each other, and not to direct anger and hatred at somebody.

I want to change the houses in Iran into the earthquake-proof ones. (Dec 29, 2003)

There was a big earthquake in Iran on December 26, 2003. News reports said that the death of 15,000 people has confirmed. Generally, many houses in Iran are feeble because they are built of sun-dried bricks. And additionally, some experts suggest that there is their way of thinking to accept the suffering of earthquakes as an unavoidable natural calamity.

However, I think it is wrong to repeat the avoidable tragedies caused by allowing the vulnerability of houses to earthquakes as they are.

Therefore, we should develop new and strongly earthquake-proofed houses in Iran which suit its natural and cultural background.

I hope that someone will promote the collaboration among Iranian people who is coping with this problem and foreign people especially those of developed countries. And I also hope its good results.

What steps should we take for that? I am waiting for your constructive suggestions, opinions, or comments.

About conflicts(Oct.7 2003)

It could be said that it is our fight to build a country in which every person will be highly protected and respected without hurting anyone. Personally, it is too difficult to win the fight. But it may be worthwhile dedicating yourselves. So please change the world for any better, concentrating on what you should do and you can do riding on time.

About lasting conflicts in Iraq.(Oct.3 2003)

For any reason, to kill is an unethical conduct. In the sense, liberation or Jihad have wrong aspects. Should we keep on killing each other at very present when several ten million people are dying from AIDS?

I hope everybody stop killing. And we must use our force and money just for saving the people who are suffering on the earth.
