From yearning for a hero and self-sacrificing dedication to "to love enemies and
coexist" and "happiness for myself and everyone else".
There have
been many events that led me to get interested in peace.
When I was very
young, I loved to watch superhero TV shows like Ultraman and super squadron
series (like Power Rangers).
After starting elementary school, I was much
influenced by comics titled "Barefoot Gen", which themed horror of the atomic
bomb.
I was also influenced by anti-war education.
Since I was in
junior high school, I have yearned for the brave who save the world by playing
video games such as "Dragon Quest" and "Final Fantasy" series.
(However, I
currently think that the "enemies" are not characters that should be destroyed,
but ones that should be changed into the "ordinary" or "good" ones.
When I
was in university, I came up with the concept of "Joyous Coexistence" under the
notion that society is based on human relationships; maybe memories of happy
days with my friends unconsciously influenced me at that time.
After
that, I visited the former Yugoslavia to apply the concept of "Joyous
Coexistence" into the real conflict.
Nowadays, I hope to contribute to peace
mostly by linguistic activities, rather than local activities in conflict areas.
But I don't mean to sacrifice myself too much for world peace: I am
thoughtfully trying to keep a balance between my own happiness and that of
everyone else.
I enjoy walking, eating out, listening to music and writing
something about peace.
Doing them makes me feel peaceful and happy
My
current pen name is Kazushi Taira.
I have changed my pen names several
times, including the past one which I did not intend to be meaningful.
I
would like to keep the current one, which means "a person who seeks peace"
